Warranty
Warranty at Furniva is product specific. A piece carries one only where its catalogue record says so, and the storefront never presents a warranty as a blanket promise across the range.
- A 12-month warranty applies only where the product page explicitly marks the product warranty eligible.
- It covers the original purchaser and is not transferable.
- Cover is limited to a visible manufacturing defect in the board, panel or supplied hardware that materially affects normal use.
- We assess first, then consider repair or the affected part, full replacement where those are impractical, and a refund only where no reasonable remedy remains.
- Arrival damage and installation workmanship have separate 24-hour reporting windows.
This is a summary. Read the exclusions, assessment costs and relocation conditions below.
1 Which products carry a warranty
A warranty applies only where the product’s catalogue record explicitly says it is warranty eligible. Where the record does not say so, no warranty is claimed on the listing and none applies.
For an eligible product, the period is 12 months from delivery. It belongs to the original purchaser and order and is not transferable.
2 What is covered
On an eligible product, the warranty covers a visible manufacturing defect in the furniture board or panel, or in hardware supplied with the product, where that defect materially affects normal use.
The initial assessment is made from photographs and, where it helps, video of the fault and of the piece in place. We may arrange an inspection where the evidence is not enough to identify the cause.
We look at repair or replacing the affected part first. A full-product replacement applies only where neither repair nor a part replacement is practical. If none of those remedies is reasonably available, we issue a refund to the original payment method.
3 What is not covered
The warranty does not cover normal wear; minor nicks, small chips, scratches or cosmetic surface marks that do not affect normal use; natural variation in shade, grain or texture; accidental or impact damage; moisture or water exposure; pests; overloading; improper use, handling or storage; damage during relocation; self-installation damage; or an unauthorised repair, alteration or modification.
Marks or damage caused by solvent-based or abrasive cleaners, or by care contrary to the product instructions, are also outside the warranty.
4 The 24-hour windows are a different thing
Visible transit damage, a wrong product or finish and missing boxes or parts must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Installation workmanship and functional problems visible immediately after installation must be reported within 24 hours of installation. Those windows cover what is apparent on arrival or installation and are handled under the returns and refunds process.
They do not shorten this warranty. On an eligible product, a manufacturing defect that becomes visible later remains covered for the full 12 months from delivery.
5 Making a claim
Contact us with your order number. Send photographs of the fault and of the complete piece in place, and video where the fault is something that moves. Do not repair, alter or dismantle the affected area before we assess it.
Assessment and an approved warranty remedy are provided at no cost. If the inspection finds no manufacturing defect, or finds an excluded cause, a technician or logistics charge may apply. We disclose that charge before arranging the visit or movement.
Moving the product does not by itself cancel the warranty. If it has been moved outside an area we can service, the purchaser may need to arrange and pay for transport to and from the serviceable location we identify.
